Health Care Assistant Required

Harborne Medical Practice is a lively, modern and well established teaching practice in the centre of Harborne. As well as excellent general practice and nursing provision, our services also include hub, physiotherapy, phlebotomy and minor surgery along with specialist clinics for conditions such as asthma and diabetes, to name but a few. We have a fantastic family-friendly staff team consisting of 7 partners, 2 salaried GP’s, 25 administrative, secretarial and nursing staff and have approximately 14,000 patients on our list. Our lovely practice has expanded in the last few years, with the addition of 8 clinical spaces and an IT suite and the practice can now offer 20 clinical rooms. We are known for our modern, progressive approach to both the provision of patient care and support for our staff team. We see ourselves as highly innovative, taking great pride in everything we do and are rated ‘Good’ by CQC.

To enable our practice to grow and develop, we are looking for the following people to join our lovely Nursing Team:

Experienced Healthcare Assistant providing 25 – 30 hours per week.

Hours may include week days until 20:00 and some weekends.

Hourly rate of pay is from £10.00 to £10.80 per hour, depending on experience

Applicants should possess appropriate care qualifications and be able to work as part of a team as well as lone working.

Amongst other things, we are looking for people who have:

Our services include a first class nursing provision, Hub, physiotherapy, phlebotomy and minor surgery along with specialist clinics for conditions such as asthma and diabetes, to name but a few. We have a fantastic family-friendly staff team consisting of 8 GP partners, 2 salaried GP’s, 25 administrative, secretarial and nursing staff and have approximately 13,000 patients on our list.

Our lovely practice has been extended in the last few years, with the addition of 8 new clinical spaces and an IT suite, and the practice now offers 20 clinical rooms. We are known for our modern, progressive approach to both the provision of patient care and support for our staff team. To continue the efficient running of the practice and help us increase our excellent patient offer, we are looking for the following person to join our friendly staff team:

A forward thinking salaried GP providing 4 clinical sessions per week. The GP may also provide additional locum and Extended Access services via our Hub, which is operational week day evenings and weekends. The salary range is £85,766 per annum for 9 sessions, equivalent to £9,529 per session.

We need an enthusiastic, progressive and experienced GP who will deliver exceptional clinical care, including the provision of 1 on-call session per week and a small number of home visits on a shared rota basis. We are looking for someone who wants to progress their career with us and who has the commitment and passion to help our practice grow and develop further. We use the Emis clinical system and Docman is limited to 30 per day, with patient appointments by phone, video and face to face.

We want a GP who can work to compliment our existing clinical provision and will be as flexible as we can when agreeing the contracted clinic days. We offer an excellent remuneration package, comprehensive induction and regular clinical advice, guidance and supervision. This includes a contract in line with BMA guidance, including protected CPD time. You will also receive first class support from our great administrative team and work in an environment which is incredibly welcoming, has a brilliant wider staff team and amazing leadership.
