We offer tests of chlamydia and gonorrhoea and other infections. Please ask at reception for a kit. You can do the test at home, then bring your sample to reception. This will be sent to the hospital for analysis.
You will need to do vaginal self-swabs. The instructions are here:
Blue top – the cotton wool swab is integrated with the lid. Remove the white stopper from the sample tube and push the swab into the tube until the lid seals.
Yellow test tube – after taking your sample you will need to break the swab at the black line and put the cotton wool end into the test tube.
Remember to write your name and date of birth on the tubes or they will not be analysed by the laboratory.
We can also do blood tests for HIV and syphillis. Please speak to a doctor if you would like these tests.
Sexual health services are also offered by Umbrella Health. You do not need a referral, contact them directly for an appointment.
