From September 2025, the NHS Cervical Screening Programme will begin sending negative test results digitally through the NHS App.
✅ If you have a negative result, you will be notified via the NHS App. If the message is not read within 72 hours, a letter will be sent as a backup.
✅ It will appear as an NHS App notification, and you don’t have notifications switched on for the NHS App, you may also receive an SMS message to remind you to check the NHS App.
📬 Abnormal results will continue to be sent by post for the time being.
